Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality preferred
- Knowledge of food and beverage offerings including menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Riverside County Food Handler’s card
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Responsible Beverage Server certification
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to stand and move around for extended periods
- Ability to carry trays and lift up to 25 pounds
- Punctuality according to company attendance and break policies

Job Duties
- Greet guests warmly and professionally, offer menus and explain specials or promotions
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, note all guest preferences and dietary needs
- Serve food and beverages timely, ensuring accuracy, presentation, and quality
- Upsell food and beverage items including daily specials or featured menu items
- Recommend additional food and beverages to complement selected items and answer questions about food items, ingredients, and preparation methods
- Demonstrate proper entry of orders into the point of sale system with correct table number, seat numbers, and cover counts
- Ensure all orders are delivered to the correct table with quick adjustments if needed
- Create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere by engaging guests throughout their meal
- Respond to guest inquiries about the menu, restaurant policies, and hotel services
- Monitor guest satisfaction and handle complaints professionally, escalating to management when necessary
- Provide accurate billing information and handle payments correctly
- Handle cash, credit card payments, and tips following proper cash handling procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming dining area including resetting tables and clearing dishes
- Ensure the dining room is stocked with utensils, napkins, condiments, and beverages
- Assist with pre-service tasks including setting up the dining area and restocking supplies
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain efficient workflow
- Support team members to ensure seamless guest experience
- Adhere to all health and safety standards, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation
- Work closely with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service
- Assist in training new servers by sharing knowledge of procedures, guest service expectations, and offerings
- Show punctuality by arriving on time for shifts and adhering to attendance and break policies
