Job Requirements
- At least one year experience as a server in a full service restaurant
- Basic math skills necessary for cash handling
- Food handler or liquor permits as required
- Ability to communicate in English verbally and in writing
- Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform physical tasks including walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing
- Ability to operate point of sale systems
- Ability to recall and promote menu items
Job Qualifications
- At least one year experience as a server in a full service restaurant
- Excellent guest service skills
- Proficient in verbal and written English
- Basic math skills to operate a cash register and handle payments
- Food handler or liquor permits as required by law
- Brand certification as required
- Ability to remember and promote menu items
- Proficient in using point of sale systems
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and alcoholic beverage service
- Effective communication skills with guests
Job Duties
- Greet all guests and escort them to their table
- Follow the guest program's steps of service including presentation of menus, making recommendations, and answering beverage questions
- Accurately take food and beverage orders and enter them into the point-of-sale system
- Prepare dishes for service including ladling soup, cutting desserts, and brewing coffee
- Deliver food and beverages to guests in a timely manner
- Perform side work at shift start and end as assigned
- Maintain clean service areas
- Monitor guest dining experience and ensure satisfaction
- Prepare final bill, present check, process payment
- Clear dishes and ensure payment completion
- Sweep, mop floors, restock items, and wipe workstations
- Assist fellow servers and utility associates
- Thank guests and invite them to return
- Perform other duties as assigned
