Job Duties
- welcome and greet guests enthusiastically with a warm friendly smile
- comply with standard grooming and dress code policies
- develop personal relationships with guests to ensure positive experiences
- polish and prepare silverware for service
- check tables for cleanliness and proper setup before seating guests
- monitor and ensure quality of food presentation and freshness
- check identification of customers who appear under 35 for legal drinking age
- conform to attendance and punctuality standards
- report equipment problems and unsatisfactory experiences to management
- inform guests of specials and menu changes
- learn menu items to make genuine recommendations
- answer guest questions about food, beverages, and services
- communicate wait times proactively to customers
- take food and beverage orders and enter them in the point-of-sale system
- deliver food and beverages promptly according to timing standards
- check back with guests after delivering orders
- perform side work at shift start and end
- maintain clean service areas
- clear items from guest tables
- monitor guests dining experience continuously
- prepare and process final bills
- assist fellow servers as needed
- thank guests and invite them to return
- fill in as needed to ensure smooth restaurant operation
