Job Requirements
- Minimum age of 18 years
- American citizenship or lawful permanent residency (Green Card)
- availability to work up to 28 weeks
- willingness and ability to work 12-hour shifts for 7 days a week
- ability to meet physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, standing, and walking for extended periods
- successful completion of pre-employment drug screening
- adherence to grooming standards with restrictions on visible tattoos and piercings
- prohibition on alcohol consumption during employment
- acceptance of temporary employment status with no guarantee of extension
- readiness to perform safety and emergency training as required on board
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age
- be an American citizen or Green Card holder
- have the ability to work a minimum of 12 hours per day, for 7 days a week, for up to 28 weeks
- possess the physical capability for moderate lifting, bending, climbing, and extended standing or walking
- successfully pass a pre-employment drug test including tests for marijuana and other controlled substances
- maintain grooming standards including limitations on visible tattoos and piercings
- demonstrate the ability to work well under pressure and maintain composure with a positive attitude
- have a strong commitment to safety and compliance with shipboard emergency procedures
Job Duties
- Provide guests with an elegant and memorable dining experience
- efficiently set up and break down breakfast, lunch, dinner, and cocktail hour including setting tables, arranging linen, silverware, china, and glassware
- cater to all culinary requests in an efficient manner
- acknowledge guests by name, escort them to their tables, present food and beverage menus, suggest courses and wines, and answer questions
- relay orders to the galley and serve courses and beverages with care, ensuring items are presentable and properly garnished
- greet guests upon embarkation, serve afternoon teas and snacks, and cater evening entertainment events
