Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in customer service or food and beverage service preferred
  • basic math proficiency
  • strong communication skills
  • physical ability to stand for extended periods
  • ability to lift and carry trays weighing up to 25 pounds
  • ability to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of the guests
  • have a basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions
  • possess basic math skills and ability to operate a point-of-sale system
  • be able to work in a standing position for long periods
  • be able to safely lift and carry trays weighing up to 20 to 25 pounds

Job Duties

  • Welcome and greet guests making them feel comfortable and personally cared for
  • inform guests of specials and menu changes
  • make genuine recommendations for guests' enjoyment
  • answer questions about food, beverages and restaurant services
  • take food and beverage orders and enter them in the point-of-sale system
  • deliver orders to guests in a timely manner
  • perform side work as required by service station assignment
  • maintain clean service areas
  • monitor guests' dining experience and respond promptly to requests
  • prepare final bill, present check, accept payment and process transactions
  • assist fellow servers as situations arise
  • assist with bussing and cleaning tables
  • thank guests for their visit and invite them to return
  • fill in as needed to ensure efficient restaurant operation as directed
