Job Requirements

Minimum of 2 years full-service restaurant experience or the equivalent
Knowledge of menu and specials
Knowledge of wine list
Knowledge of liquor list and special drinks
Understanding of accounting procedures
Familiarity with layout of restaurant including table numbers and station numbers
Knowledge of individual restaurant orientation material including rules and philosophies
Punctuality
Courteous, pleasant and good natured attitude
Patience and courtesy in responding to difficult guests
Acceptance of constructive criticism
Ability to get along with co-workers
Clean, well-manicured appearance
Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift
Ability to safely transport food from kitchen to guest table over slick, uneven surfaces
Ability to transport food to service a party of 4 in a single trip
Ability to transport food and beverage items continually throughout a shift
Ability to move safely within all areas of the restaurant
Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

Effectively service a 6 table station
Accurately account for and balance all sales and receipts
Communicate clearly with the kitchen both verbally and utilizing the computer register system
Present and encourage current promotional information and materials to guest
Accurately account for all guest checks issued
Accurately record and account for all items ordered and served
Accurately accept payment from guest
Notify guest of any automatic gratuity
Perform calmly under pressure, handling multiple tasks simultaneously
Communicate with guest clearly, patiently, and courteously
Perform varied duties to ensure all aspects of service according to standing operating procedure
