Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience as a restaurant server preferred
  • strong knowledge of restaurant service and culinary terms
  • familiarity with wine, spirits, beer, and other beverages
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to provide sincere hospitality
  • ability to handle cash transactions correctly
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • physical stamina to stand and move for extended periods
  • coachable attitude
  • commitment to maintaining uniform and cleanliness standards

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Informs customers on product and service quality
  • knows menus including food and beverage, explaining ingredients and allergens
  • maintains cleanliness and uniform standards
  • sells and serves food, wine, cocktails, and menu items courteously
  • maintains clean and organized server station and visible areas
  • follows cash handling procedures accurately
  • takes and rings orders properly to POS system
  • performs opening and closing side work
  • manages dining room supplies like silverware and linens
  • handles guest relationships professionally including inquiries and complaints
  • communicates 86'd items promptly
  • reports guest and server needs to management
  • serves alcohol responsibly
  • continues education on service, food, beverage, and industry trends
  • trains new server team members
  • maintains health, safety, and sanitation standards
  • ensures product quality and consistency
  • upholds CHG standards or exceeds them
  • operates as a team member offering help and seeking assistance when necessary
  • accepts additional duties at management discretion
