Job Requirements
- Must be able to relate positively to residents and families
- Must be able to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, community officials, and the general public
- Must be capable of maintaining regular and reliable attendance
- Must meet all state health requirements
- Must obtain Food Handlers Permit as required by state regulations
- Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation
- Minimum age of 16 years to be employed
Job Qualifications
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and the public
- Positive attitude toward working with seniors and families
- Teamwork skills and cooperativeness
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation
- Experience in food service or hospitality preferred
- Ability to work flexible schedules
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills
Job Duties
- Set tables and bus tables
- Wash dishes and clean dishwashing area
- Assist cooks in cleaning food serving areas and equipment
- Prepare and set up serving carts for meals
- Serve meals to residents following facility procedures
- Clean dining room tables, chairs, and floors
- Follow safety and sanitation practices
- Perform related duties as assigned
