Job Requirements
- 18+ years old
- reliable transportation required
- ability to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for periods up to four hours
- ability to wipe down tables, pick up debris, and maintain cleanliness
- ability to transport plates, glasses, and baskets frequently
- good sense of balance and ability to reach, bend, stoop, and kneel
- ability to speak clearly and listen attentively
- ability to accommodate special guest needs
- ability to follow safety and alcohol service regulations
Job Qualifications
- High school degree or GED preferred
- prior server experience preferred
- ServeSafe food certification a plus
- friendly and engaging demeanor
- ability to communicate and behave professionally at all times
- reading, writing, basic math, and verbal communication skills required
- ability to build relationships
- ability to be a team player
- ability to follow manager instructions and guidance
- bi-lingual experience a plus
Job Duties
- Delivers food and drinks to guests using Applebee's team delivery
- interacts verbally with all bar guests creating a friendly and upbeat atmosphere
- greet guests and answer questions
- make suggestions regarding food and drinks
- completes assigned opening and closing side work
- presents guest checks to dining room patrons and handles correct change or credit transactions
- relays food orders to kitchen via the point-of-sale computerized register system in a timely and accurate manner
- serves alcohol according to all state and federal laws and regulations as well as company policies
- participates in clearing and resetting dining room tables using team delivery
- observes guests, responds to requests, and anticipates guest needs
- maintains a clean and organized work environment
- explains and demonstrates usage of Tabletop Electronic Devices to guests
- drives sales with suggestive selling
- writes and repeats guest orders to ensure understanding
- accommodates special guest needs such as booster chairs and high chairs
- may occasionally serve guests in Host/Hostess or Carside To-Go Server roles
- performs general utility functions as requested by management
