Job Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- Prior healthcare experience preferred
- Must enjoy serving seniors
- Must demonstrate excellent customer service and hospitality
- Must maintain positive resident and guest relations in a courteous and cooperative manner
- Must demonstrate trustworthiness and dependability
- Must accommodate resident preferences in dining services
- Must work efficiently and effectively with minimal supervision
- Must be able to receive and resolve complaints graciously
- Must always be in proper attire and well groomed
- Must attend company appointed ServSafe class
- Must adhere to the community's Code of Ethics and complete all required compliance training
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- Prior healthcare experience preferred
- Ability to provide excellent customer service and hospitality
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience working with seniors or in a healthcare environment is an asset
- Ability to work efficiently with little supervision
- Knowledge of proper food handling and safety guidelines
- Ability to attend required ServSafe training and comply with community standards
- Demonstrated trustworthiness and dependability
Job Duties
- Trains and guides new servers according to community standards
- Assists with meal counts and tickets
- Assists and ensures dining room setup with servers
- Assists with dish room tasks
- Attends pre-meal menu review meeting
- Performs duties at assigned station such as beverages or salad bar
- Completes assigned cleaning and prep work duties
- Greets residents and visitors in a welcoming manner
- Assists residents with food selection
- Checks and refills beverages timely
- Serves residents timely with proper serving techniques
- Serves meals using trays
- Strips and resets tables as needed
- Removes dishes during meal service and delivers to dishwashing area
- Removes soiled linens to designated laundry
- Prepares tables for the next meal
- Maintains cleanliness and safety in dining room
- Cleans and prepares for next meal including tables, chairs, condiment containers, coffee and juice machines
