Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Three years of previous serving experience in a full-service restaurant
Excellent oral communication skills
Positive interpersonal skills
Must speak English fluently and be able to write in basic English
Must be 21 years or older
Ability to speak and hear
Close and distance vision
Frequent walking with some standing at times
Will walk for long periods of time, possibly extended distances
Frequently lifts/carries up to 25 lbs
Occasionally lifts/carries up to 50 lbs
Continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills
Able to reach hands and arms in any direction and kneel and stoop repeatedly

Job Duties

Prepare, clean, and level tables and ensure side stations are stocked
Stay updated on current menu choices, specialties, and menu deviations, knowing if the kitchen or bar staff are running out of any items
Present menus, suggest dishes, assist in drink selection, inform customers about food preparation details, and communicate specific customer needs or allergies to the cooks
Maintain proper dining experience, deliver items, fulfill customer needs, offer desserts and drinks, remove courses, replenish utensils, and refill glasses
Proper tableside wine service
Obtain revenues, issue receipts, accept payments, and return the change
Perform basic cleaning tasks and side-work as needed or directed by the supervisor
Fill in for absent staff as needed
Assist with special events as needed
Greet all guests at the door and at the tables warmly with an appropriate greeting
Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently
Understand and can communicate distillery products and processes
