Job Requirements

18+ years old
friendly and engaging demeanor
prior server experience preferred
ServeSafe Food Certification a plus
reading, writing, basic math and verbal communication skills required
bi-lingual experience a plus
reliable transportation required
high school degree or GED preferred
ability to build relationships
ability to be a team player
ability to follow manager instructions and guidance
ability to communicate and behave professionally at all times

Job Duties

Delivers food and drinks to guests using Applebee's team delivery
interacts verbally with all bar guests creating a friendly and upbeat atmosphere
greet guests, answer questions, make suggestions regarding food, drinks, and menu options
completes assigned opening and closing side work
presents guest checks to dining room patrons, makes correct change, and/or completes credit transactions
relays food orders to kitchen via point-of-sale computerized register system in a timely and accurate manner
serves alcohol according to all state and federal laws, regulations, company, and brand policies
participates in clearing and resetting dining room tables using team delivery
observes guests, responds to requests, and anticipates guests' needs
maintains a clean and organized work area
explains and demonstrates usage of Tabletop Electronic Devices to guests
drives sales with suggestive selling
writes and repeats guests' orders to ensure accuracy
accommodates special guest needs such as booster chairs, high chairs, etc.
occasionally serves guests in Host/Hostess or Carside To-Go Server roles
performs general utility functions as requested by management
