Job Requirements

18 plus years old
Reliable transportation required
Reading, writing, and basic math skills required
Ability to stand and move quickly for extended periods
Ability to lift and carry items frequently weighing up to 25 pounds
Good sense of balance
Ability to reach, bend, stoop and kneel
Ability to speak clearly and listen attentively
Availability to work in a fast-paced and loud environment
Ability to follow company and legal policies consistently

Job Qualifications

High school degree or GED preferred
Prior server experience preferred
Friendly and engaging demeanor
Ability to build relationships
Ability to be a team player
Ability to follow manager instructions and guidance
Strong verbal communication skills
Basic math skills
ServeSafe Food Certification a plus
Bi-lingual experience a plus
Ability to communicate and behave professionally at all times

Job Duties

Delivers food and drinks to guests using Applebee's team delivery
Interacts verbally with all bar guests creating a friendly and upbeat environment
Greet guests, answer questions, makes suggestions regarding food and drinks
Completes assigned opening and closing side work
Presents guest checks to dining room patrons and handles cash or credit transactions
Relays food orders to kitchen via computerized point-of-sale system
Serves alcohol according to all applicable laws and company policies
Participates in clearing and resetting dining room tables
Observes guests, responds to requests, and anticipates guest needs
Maintains a clean and organized work area
Explains and demonstrates usage of Tabletop Electronic Devices to guests
Drives sales with suggestive selling
Writes and repeats guests' orders for accuracy
Accommodates special needs such as booster chairs, high chairs
Occasionally serves as host or carside to-go server upon scheduling
Performs general utility tasks as requested by management
