Job Duties
- Greet residents and guests and present them with the menu
- Inform guests about the special items for the day and menu changes if any
- Take food and beverage orders from the resident or guest on the order taking pads or on the handheld Point of Sale (POS) system
- Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor
- Fill in for absent staff as needed
- Punch the order on the POS machine and ensure to enter the special requirements made by the resident or guest while ordering the food
- Communicate to the guest and provide assistance with their queries
- Coordinate with the bus person and/or kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation and resident/guest satisfaction
- Serve food and beverage to the guest as per the course of order
- Observe residents/guests and ensure their satisfaction with the food and service
- Respond promptly to resident/guest with any additional request
- Maintain proper dining experience, deliver items, fulfill customer needs, offer desserts and drinks, remove courses, replenish utensils, and refill glasses
- Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently
- Have some familiarity with basic cooking skills such as salad preparation and dessert plating
- Assist bus persons with stocking and maintain the restaurant par stock levels and side station
- Help other areas of the restaurant such as answering telephones and completing financial transactions for Take-Out
- Close the shift on the POS terminal
- Perform other duties assigned by supervisor or manager including but not limited to this list
