Job Requirements

18 plus years old
reliable transportation required
ability to follow manager instructions and guidance
ability to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for up to four hours
ability to wipe down tabletops, table legs, pick up debris, and wipe down booth seats
ability to carry plates, glasses, and baskets frequently
ability to balance, reach, bend, stoop, kneel
ability to speak clearly and listen attentively
ability to transport high chairs weighing up to 15 pounds
friendly and engaging demeanor
prior server experience preferred
serve safe food certification a plus

Job Duties

Delivers food and drinks to guests using Applebee’s team delivery
interacts verbally with all bar guests creating a friendly and upbeat atmosphere
greets guests, answers questions, makes suggestions regarding food, drinks, and menu items
completes assigned opening and closing side work as scheduled
presents guest checks to dining room patrons, makes correct change and/or processes credit transactions
relays food orders to kitchen via the point-of-sale computerized register system in a timely and accurate manner
serves alcohol according to all state and federal laws and regulations as well as company and brand policies
participates in clearing and resetting dining room tables using Applebee’s team delivery
observes guests, responds to requests, and anticipates guest needs
maintains a clean and organized work environment
explains and demonstrates usage of Tabletop Electronic Devices to guests
drives sales with suggestive selling techniques
writes and repeats guests’ orders to ensure accuracy
accommodates any special needs of guests such as booster chairs and high chairs
may occasionally be scheduled to serve guests in a Host/Hostess or Carside To-Go Server role
performs general utility functions as requested by management
