- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior experience in dining services or food service preferred
- ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- ability to read and write
- ability to work independently or as a team
- excellent customer service skills
- availability to work specified shifts including early mornings, afternoons, every other weekend and holidays

Job Duties
- Prepare dining areas for meals
- serve accurate and attractive meals in a timely manner
- ensure proper food temperature when serving
- communicate with and respond to customer meal requests
- obtain meal orders
- monitor and maintain proper levels of supplies and food items in work areas and dining rooms
- observe and report changes in residents dining habits to appropriate personnel in a timely manner
- maintain adequate cleanliness of dining services equipment and work area
- ensure proper storage of food items according to policy
- operate dishwasher when appropriate
