Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 18 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages and 21 to pour
  • two to three years of experience as a server, fine dining experience preferred
  • food handling certificate where applicable
  • certificate in alcoholic awareness program where applicable
  • basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills
  • strong communication and teamwork skills
  • strong organization and time management skills
  • able to resolve problems of dissatisfied customers and/or employees

Job Duties

  • Provide a high level of customer service at all times
  • anticipate residents' needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests
  • maintain complete knowledge of restaurant operations, proper table set-up, and dress code
  • work closely with the Food & Beverage Director and/or General Manager to keep residents satisfied with food and beverage programs
  • set tables in accordance with Coterie standards
  • serve residents and guests meals and beverages as requested
  • maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations, including those prohibiting service to minors and intoxicated persons
