Job Requirements

  • At least eighteen years of age
  • American citizen or Green Card holder
  • Willingness and ability to work 12 hours per day, 7 days a week for up to 28 weeks
  • Ability to meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, standing and walking for extended periods
  • Passing pre-employment drug test including marijuana and other controlled substances
  • Compliance with grooming standards regarding visible tattoos and piercings
  • No consumption of alcohol while on duty
  • Temporary employment not to extend beyond 28 weeks of shipboard work
  • Completion of mandatory emergency and safety training

Job Qualifications

  • Must be at least eighteen years old
  • Must be American citizen or Green Card holder
  • Ability to work a minimum of 12 hours per day, 7 days a week for up to 28 weeks
  • Ability to meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, standing and walking
  • Knowledge of dining service etiquette preferred but not required
  • Strong communication and guest service skills
  • Positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure

Job Duties

  • Provide guests with an elegant and memorable dining experience
  • Efficiently set-up and break-down breakfast, lunch, dinner, and cocktail hour including tables, linens, silverware, china and glassware
  • Cater to all culinary requests in an efficient manner
  • Acknowledge guests by name, escort them to their tables, present menus, suggest courses and wines, and answer questions
  • Relay orders to the galley and serve courses and beverages ensuring presentation and garnishing
  • Perform additional duties such as greeting guests upon embarkation, serving afternoon teas and snacks, and catering evening entertainment
