Job Requirements
- At least eighteen years of age
- American citizen or Green Card holder
- Willingness and ability to work 12 hours per day, 7 days a week for up to 28 weeks
- Ability to meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, standing and walking for extended periods
- Passing pre-employment drug test including marijuana and other controlled substances
- Compliance with grooming standards regarding visible tattoos and piercings
- No consumption of alcohol while on duty
- Temporary employment not to extend beyond 28 weeks of shipboard work
- Completion of mandatory emergency and safety training
Job Qualifications
- Must be at least eighteen years old
- Must be American citizen or Green Card holder
- Ability to work a minimum of 12 hours per day, 7 days a week for up to 28 weeks
- Ability to meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, standing and walking
- Knowledge of dining service etiquette preferred but not required
- Strong communication and guest service skills
- Positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure
Job Duties
- Provide guests with an elegant and memorable dining experience
- Efficiently set-up and break-down breakfast, lunch, dinner, and cocktail hour including tables, linens, silverware, china and glassware
- Cater to all culinary requests in an efficient manner
- Acknowledge guests by name, escort them to their tables, present menus, suggest courses and wines, and answer questions
- Relay orders to the galley and serve courses and beverages ensuring presentation and garnishing
- Perform additional duties such as greeting guests upon embarkation, serving afternoon teas and snacks, and catering evening entertainment
