Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
experience working in hospitality or food service preferred
able to meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, and extended standing or walking
willingness to work long and irregular hours
must not consume alcohol during employment
legal authorization to work in the United States
successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screening
availability to commit to temporary shipboard employment up to 28 weeks
adherence to company grooming standards and safety protocols

Job Qualifications

Be at least 18 years of age
be an American citizen or Green Card holder
possess strong hospitality and customer service skills
be able to work a minimum of 12 hours per day, 7 days a week, for up to 28 weeks
maintain composure and a positive attitude under pressure
follow grooming standards including limits on visible tattoos and piercings
be able to perform emergency and safety functions after training
pass a pre-employment drug test including testing for marijuana and controlled substances

Job Duties

Provide guests with an elegant and memorable dining experience
set up and break down breakfast, lunch, dinner, and cocktail hour including tables, linen, silverware, china, and glassware
cater to all culinary requests efficiently
acknowledge guests by name, escort them to tables, present menus, suggest courses and wines, and answer menu questions
relay orders to the galley and serve courses and beverages with care ensuring proper presentation and garnishing
perform additional duties such as greeting guests upon embarkation, serving afternoon teas and snacks, and catering evening entertainment
