Job Requirements
- Be at least eighteen years old
- hold American citizenship or Green Card
- able to work long hours daily for 28 weeks
- pass federal pre-employment drug screening
- comply with grooming standards
- abstain from alcohol consumption during employment
- meet physical demands including lifting and standing
- participate in shipboard safety and emergency training
- accept temporary employment for 28 weeks without expectation of extension
Job Qualifications
- At least eighteen years of age
- American citizen or Green Card holder
- ability to work a minimum of 12 hours per day, 7 days a week, for up to 28 weeks
- ability to meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, standing, and walking for extended periods
- pre-employment drug test clearance including marijuana and other controlled substances
- willingness to comply with grooming standards including limitations on visible tattoos and piercings
- ability to work under pressure maintaining composure and positive attitude
- commitment to American Cruise Lines' values of optimism, commitment, patriotism, and merit
Job Duties
- Provide guests with an elegant and memorable dining experience
- efficiently set-up and break-down meal services including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and cocktail hour
- cater to all culinary requests swiftly and professionally
- acknowledge guests by name and escort them to their tables
- present food and beverage menus, suggest courses and wines, and answer guest queries
- relay orders efficiently to the galley and serve courses with attention to presentation and garnish
- perform additional functions such as greeting guests during embarkation, serving afternoon teas and snacks, and catering evening entertainment events
