Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • no prior hospitality experience necessary but a plus
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • availability for temporary employment for 28 weeks
  • commitment to uphold company values of optimism, commitment, patriotism, and merit
  • capability to work long hours and physically demanding shifts
  • ability to live and work onboard ship for duration of employment
  • willingness to adhere to company safety and conduct policies

Job Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • American citizen or Green Card holder
  • ability to work a minimum of 12 hours per day, 7 days a week, for up to 28 weeks
  • able to meet physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, standing or walking for extended periods
  • ability to pass pre-employment drug test including marijuana and controlled substances
  • strict compliance with no alcohol consumption during work
  • willingness to undergo emergency and safety training
  • adherence to grooming standards including limitations on visible tattoos and piercings
  • positive attitude and ability to perform under pressure
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Job Duties

  • Provide guests with an elegant and memorable dining experience
  • set up and break down breakfast, lunch, dinner, and cocktail hour including arranging linen, silverware, china, and glassware
  • cater to all culinary requests efficiently
  • acknowledge guests by name, escort them to tables, present menus, suggest courses and wines, and answer menu questions
  • relay orders to galley and serve courses and beverages ensuring presentation and garnishing
  • perform additional functions such as greeting guests upon embarkation, serving afternoon teas and snacks, and catering evening entertainment
