Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- no prior hospitality experience necessary but a plus
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- availability for temporary employment for 28 weeks
- commitment to uphold company values of optimism, commitment, patriotism, and merit
- capability to work long hours and physically demanding shifts
- ability to live and work onboard ship for duration of employment
- willingness to adhere to company safety and conduct policies
Job Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- American citizen or Green Card holder
- ability to work a minimum of 12 hours per day, 7 days a week, for up to 28 weeks
- able to meet physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, standing or walking for extended periods
- ability to pass pre-employment drug test including marijuana and controlled substances
- strict compliance with no alcohol consumption during work
- willingness to undergo emergency and safety training
- adherence to grooming standards including limitations on visible tattoos and piercings
- positive attitude and ability to perform under pressure
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Job Duties
- Provide guests with an elegant and memorable dining experience
- set up and break down breakfast, lunch, dinner, and cocktail hour including arranging linen, silverware, china, and glassware
- cater to all culinary requests efficiently
- acknowledge guests by name, escort them to tables, present menus, suggest courses and wines, and answer menu questions
- relay orders to galley and serve courses and beverages ensuring presentation and garnishing
- perform additional functions such as greeting guests upon embarkation, serving afternoon teas and snacks, and catering evening entertainment
