Job Requirements
- Pre-employment drug test including marijuana and other controlled substances
- no consumption of alcohol while onboard
- willingness to work a temporary position for 28 weeks
- ability to participate in emergency and safety training
- adhere to grooming standards including limitations on visible tattoos and piercings
- willingness to comply with federal and company regulations
- ability to work extended hours in a fast-paced environment
- must be able to interact professionally and courteously with guests and crew
- readiness to live onboard for the duration of employment
Job Qualifications
- Must be at least eighteen years of age
- American citizen or Green Card holder
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work a minimum of 12 hours per day for 7 days a week
- able to meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, and standing or walking for extended periods
- ability to work well under pressure and maintain a positive attitude
- understanding of hospitality industry standards is helpful
- commitment to company values of optimism, commitment, patriotism, and merit
Job Duties
- Provide guests with an elegant and memorable dining experience
- efficiently set-up and break-down breakfast, lunch, dinner, and cocktail hour including setting tables, arranging linen, silverware, china and glassware
- cater to all culinary requests in an efficient manner
- acknowledge guests by name, escort them to their tables, present food and beverage menus, suggest particular courses and wines, and kindly answer any questions about menu items
- efficiently relay orders to the galley and serve various courses and beverages with care, ensuring all items look presentable and properly garnished before serving
- perform other functions such as greeting guests upon embarkation, serving afternoon teas and snacks, and catering evening entertainment
- maintain adherence to grooming and safety standards at all times
