Job Requirements

  • Be at least eighteen years old
  • Be an American citizen or green card holder
  • Willing to work a minimum of 12 hours per day for 7 days per week for up to 28 weeks
  • Meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, and extended standing or walking
  • Pass pre-employment drug test including marijuana and other substances
  • Ability to abstain from alcohol consumption
  • Adhere to grooming standards regarding tattoos and piercings
  • Commitment to shipboard emergency and safety training
  • Understand and accept that this is a temporary employment position not extending beyond 28 weeks

Job Qualifications

  • At least eighteen years of age

  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work long hours and handle physical demands
  • Positive attitude and ability to work under pressure
  • Prior hospitality or food service experience preferred but not required
  • Willingness to comply with grooming standards and safety protocols

Job Duties

  • Provide guests with an elegant and memorable dining experience
  • Set up and break down meals including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and cocktail hour by arranging tables, linens, silverware, china, and glassware
  • Cater to all culinary requests efficiently
  • Acknowledge guests by name, escort them to tables, present menus, suggest courses and wines, and answer questions
  • Relay orders to the galley and serve courses and beverages ensuring presentation and garnish
  • Perform additional functions such as greeting guests upon embarkation, serving afternoon teas and snacks, and catering evening entertainment
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area
