Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in hospitality or customer service preferred
- ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- must adhere to company alcohol consumption policy with no alcohol use onboard
- successful completion of safety and emergency training
- willingness to live and work onboard for the seasonal period
- temporary employment not to exceed 28 weeks
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years old
- be an American citizen or Green Card holder
- willing and able to work up to 12 hours per day, 7 days a week, for up to 28 weeks
- able to meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, and extended periods of standing or walking
- pass a pre-employment drug test including testing for marijuana and other substances
- comply with grooming standards including limitations on visible tattoos and piercings
- demonstrate ability to work well under pressure
- maintain composure and display a positive attitude
Job Duties
- Provide guests with an elegant and memorable dining experience
- efficiently set-up and break-down breakfast, lunch, dinner, and cocktail hour including setting tables, arranging linen, silverware, china and glassware
- cater to all culinary requests in an efficient manner
- acknowledge guests by name, escort them to their tables, present menus, suggest courses and wines, and answer menu-related questions
- relay orders to the galley and serve courses and beverages ensuring presentable and garnished items
- perform additional functions such as greeting guests upon embarkation, serving afternoon teas and snacks, and catering evening entertainment
