Job Requirements
- Be at least eighteen years of age
- be an American citizen or Green Card holder
- be willing and able to work a minimum of 12 hours per day, 7 days a week, for up to 28 weeks
- meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, and extended periods of standing or walking
- pass a pre-employment drug test including testing for marijuana and controlled substances
- strictly prohibit alcohol consumption during employment
- comply with grooming standards including limitations on visible tattoos and piercings
- understand this is a temporary shipboard position not to extend beyond 28 weeks
- maintain emergency and safety functions essential to ship operation
Job Qualifications
- Be at least eighteen years of age
- be an American citizen or Green Card holder
- have excellent guest service and interpersonal skills
- possess a positive attitude and ability to work under pressure
- have the physical ability to meet moderate demands including lifting, bending, climbing, and extended standing or walking
- be willing to work a minimum of 12 hours per day, 7 days a week for up to 28 weeks
- comply with federal drug testing requirements
- adhere to grooming standards including limitations on visible tattoos and piercings
Job Duties
- Provide guests with an elegant and memorable dining experience
- set up and break down breakfast, lunch, dinner, and cocktail hour including arranging tables, linen, silverware, china, and glassware
- cater to all culinary requests efficiently
- acknowledge guests by name, escort them to tables, present menus, suggest courses and wines, and answer menu questions kindly
- relay orders to the galley and serve courses and beverages with care, ensuring presentable and garnished items
- perform additional functions such as greeting guests upon embarkation, serving afternoon teas and snacks, and supporting evening entertainment
