Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • American citizen or Green Card holder
  • able to work 12 hours per day, 7 days a week, for up to 28 weeks
  • pass pre-employment drug test including Marijuana and controlled substances
  • comply with grooming standards including limitations on visible tattoos and piercings
  • no alcohol consumption during work
  • meet physical demands of the job
  • complete safety and emergency training
  • willing to work onboard for entire cruise season
  • temporary employment not to extend beyond 28 weeks

Job Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • American citizen or Green Card holder
  • able to work 12 hour shifts for 7 days a week over 28 weeks
  • capable of meeting moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, standing and walking for extended periods
  • ability to work under pressure and maintain composure
  • positive attitude
  • excellent communication and customer service skills
  • experience in hospitality preferred but not required

Job Duties

  • Provide guests with an elegant and memorable dining experience
  • efficiently set-up and break-down meal service areas including tables, linen, silverware, china and glassware
  • cater to all culinary requests efficiently
  • acknowledge guests by name, escort to tables, present menus, suggest courses and wines, and answer menu questions
  • relay orders accurately to the galley and serve courses and beverages ensuring proper presentation and garnishing
  • perform additional functions such as greeting guests upon embarkation, serving afternoon teas and snacks, and catering evening entertainment
  • maintain a professional and courteous demeanor throughout service
