Job Requirements
- No formal education required
- must be able to stand and walk for 100 percent of the workday
- must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs independently
- must be able to push and pull bus carts weighing up to 50 lbs independently
- must be able to bend, stoop, reach, and balance frequently throughout the workday
- must be able to see, hear, and speak
- prior experience in food service preferred but not required
Job Qualifications
- Experience waiting tables in a hotel, restaurant, or club with fine dining preferred but willing to train
- ability to interpret and explain menu, refer or answer questions, coordinate meal service process and understand requests
- ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisor and peers
- requires courtesy, tact and graciousness
Job Duties
- Greet and serve residents, guests, families, and visitors with courtesy and professionalism
- interpret and explain menu items, answer questions, and provide recommendations
- coordinate meal service process efficiently to ensure timely delivery
- handle special requests or dietary needs with attentiveness and care
- maintain cleanliness and organization of dining area and service stations
- work collaboratively with kitchen staff and supervisors for smooth operations
- follow health and safety regulations and procedures
