Job Requirements

  • No formal education required
  • Ability to stand and walk for 100% of the workday
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs independently
  • Ability to push and pull bus carts weighing up to 50 lbs independently
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach and balance frequently
  • Must be able to see, hear and speak clearly
  • Previous experience in food service preferred but not required

Job Qualifications

  • Experience waiting tables in a hotel, restaurant or club with fine dining preferred but will train
  • Ability to interpret and explain menu
  • Ability to work closely with residents, guests, supervisors, and peers
  • Courtesy, tact and graciousness in customer interactions
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, lift and push throughout the workday

Job Duties

  • Wait tables and provide excellent customer service
  • Interpret and explain menu items to residents and guests
  • Coordinate meal service process efficiently
  • Respond to questions and requests with courtesy and tact
  • Work in cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisors, and peers
  • Stand and walk during the entire work shift
  • Lift and carry up to 20 lbs, push and pull bus carts weighing up to 50 lbs
