Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 18 years of age
  • Two to three years of serving experience
  • Food handling certificate where required
  • Alcohol awareness certificate where applicable
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong teamwork skills
  • Organizational and time management abilities
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Legal age compliance for alcohol service

Job Qualifications

  • Two to three years of experience as a server
  • Fine dining experience preferred
  • Food handling certificate where applicable
  • Certificate in alcoholic awareness program where applicable
  • Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Ability to resolve problems of dissatisfied customers or employees
  • Minimum age 18 to serve alcoholic beverages and 21 to pour

Job Duties

  • Provide a high level of customer service at all times
  • Anticipate residents' needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests
  • Maintain complete knowledge of restaurant operations, proper table set-up and dress code
  • Work closely with Food & Beverage Director and/or General Manager to keep residents satisfied with food and beverage programs
  • Set tables in accordance with Coterie standards
  • Serve residents and guests meals and beverages as requested
  • Maintain knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations
  • Adhere to food safety practices and Quality Enhancement standards
  • Review daily menu with residents
  • Maintain knowledge of Toast and/or POS systems
  • Take and deliver accurate meal orders
  • Remove used plates and utensils
  • Clean and reset tables after guests depart
  • Know menu items, prices, preparation methods, and quality standards
  • Assist with special events and banquets
  • Adhere to payment and cash handling policies
  • Process payments through POS
  • Acquaint new residents with dining options
  • Clean and sanitize dining areas and equipment
  • Complete side duties such as stock checks and napkin folding
  • Review and accommodate reservations
  • Foster teamwork and cooperation
  • Attend pre-meal staff meetings
  • Perform other duties as assigned
