Job Requirements

Minimum of 18 years of age
Two to three years of serving experience
Food handling certificate where required
Alcohol awareness certificate where applicable
Basic literacy and numeracy skills
Strong communication skills
Strong teamwork skills
Organizational and time management abilities
Problem-solving skills
Legal age compliance for alcohol service

Job Qualifications

Two to three years of experience as a server
Fine dining experience preferred
Food handling certificate where applicable
Certificate in alcoholic awareness program where applicable
Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Strong organization and time management skills
Ability to resolve problems of dissatisfied customers or employees
Minimum age 18 to serve alcoholic beverages and 21 to pour

Job Duties

Provide a high level of customer service at all times
Anticipate residents' needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests
Maintain complete knowledge of restaurant operations, proper table set-up and dress code
Work closely with Food & Beverage Director and/or General Manager to keep residents satisfied with food and beverage programs
Set tables in accordance with Coterie standards
Serve residents and guests meals and beverages as requested
Maintain knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations
Adhere to food safety practices and Quality Enhancement standards
Review daily menu with residents
Maintain knowledge of Toast and/or POS systems
Take and deliver accurate meal orders
Remove used plates and utensils
Clean and reset tables after guests depart
Know menu items, prices, preparation methods, and quality standards
Assist with special events and banquets
Adhere to payment and cash handling policies
Process payments through POS
Acquaint new residents with dining options
Clean and sanitize dining areas and equipment
Complete side duties such as stock checks and napkin folding
Review and accommodate reservations
Foster teamwork and cooperation
Attend pre-meal staff meetings
Perform other duties as assigned
