Job Requirements

  • Must be able to read, write and follow oral and written directions

  • Must communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Experience in hospitality or food service preferred
  • Knowledge of dietary restrictions and therapeutic diet orders
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
  • Compassion and desire to work with the elderly
  • Basic knowledge of sanitation and safety standards
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Dependability and integrity

Job Duties

  • Set up and break down all dining areas in a timely manner
  • Ensure all silverware, glasses, and plates are clean and chip-free
  • Be in uniform at all times during shifts
  • Maintain knowledge of allergies, food ingredients, and preparation methods
  • Provide attentive and professional service on the dining room floor
  • Adhere to schedule and communicate shift changes in advance
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation
  • Prepare alternate meals as required
  • Serve suitable meals to appropriate residents
  • Assist in execution of special events
  • Ensure strict compliance with sanitation and safety standards
  • Greet and assist residents, visitors, and staff courteously
  • Follow company policies and procedures
  • Complete tasks assigned by management
