Job Duties
- Cascade a spirit of hospitality in all dealings with residents, colleagues and guests
- lead service of food or beverages to residents and prepare or serve specialty diets and dishes as required
- engage with residents to obtain desired orders for food or beverages while articulating daily menu offerings
- explain how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods
- ensure residents are satisfied with all aspects of service and communicate customer service issues to supervisor
- check residents diets, likes and dislikes and ensure requirements are satisfied
- assist with set-up and breakdown of meal periods
- stock service areas with supplies such as coffee, food, tableware, and linens
- perform cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, tidying service stations, clearing tables, and taking out trash
- wash pots, pans, dishes, utensils, or other cooking equipment as needed
- assist culinary staff at various stations as directed
- provide excellent customer service including being attentive, approachable, greeting and thanking customers
- perform other duties as assigned
