Job Requirements

  • Previous server experience in restaurant or hospitality sector required or minimum six months experience working for any of our restaurants as a host, busser or other similar guest interfacing position
  • Must have good performance and manager reference
  • 18 years of age or older as required by state law to serve alcoholic beverages
  • Ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system
  • Food handler's card and alcohol awareness training certification where required by state and local laws
  • Eligible to work in the United States

Job Duties

  • Assumes 100% responsibility for quality guests' experience
  • Welcome and greet guests within two minutes of being seated
  • Inform guests of specials and menu changes
  • Offer specific beverage, appetizer, entree, and dessert recommendations either upon request or when genuinely believed guests will enjoy
  • Answer questions about food, beverages and other restaurant functions and services
  • Take food and beverage orders from guests and enter orders into the point-of-sale system
  • Deliver food and beverages from kitchen and bar to guests in a timely manner
  • Clean and prepare the table for the arrival of menu items
  • Perform side work during each shift as required by service station assignment
  • Maintain clean and stocked service and dining areas
  • Monitor and observe guests dining experience ensuring satisfaction
  • Respond promptly and courteously to any requests
  • Provide proactive beverage refills
  • Prepare final bill, present check to guest, accept payment and process through the POS system or pay at the table system
  • Assist fellow servers before they ask
  • Express appreciation to guests and invite them to return
  • Attend scheduled employee meetings and contribute suggestions for improvement
  • Notify manager-on-duty if guest is not satisfied
  • Cover other servers duties during breaks as requested by MOD
  • Participate in scheduled catering events
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
