Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in high-volume restaurant
  • availability to work graveyard and weekend shifts
  • willingness to learn and teach others
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • proper hygiene and grooming
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights
  • legal eligibility to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • Previous hospitality experience preferred
  • experience in a high-volume restaurant is a must (2yrs min)
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • knowledge of customer service principles
  • familiarity with food and beverage service
  • ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • basic math skills for handling cash and credit card transactions

Job Duties

  • Portrays a positive and professional attitude
  • works as a team player
  • provides help and support to all fellow colleagues
  • possesses in-depth knowledge of products, menu, beverages, wines and general information of the club/restaurant and company
  • learns and teaches fellow colleagues (learn by listening, teach and lead by example)
  • properly sets-up your station including squaring-off seats, tables, making sure all tables and chairs/banquettes are clean and free of debris
  • verifies tables are properly and completely set up
  • stocks server-side stations with appropriate materials
  • performs opening side work as described for the specific section
  • attends and participates in daily pre-shift meetings
  • always smiles and greets guests warmly and genuinely
  • provides professional and exceptional service (oversee all aspects of table service)
  • listens to guests and anticipates their needs
  • responds to guests’ questions and their needs
  • the proper serving of sake and alcohol (with awareness)
  • table maintenance and bussing of excess tableware
  • presents and reconciles checks
  • collects cash from guests/performing credit card authorizations and services
  • clears and resets tables
  • properly executes closing procedures
  • completes accurately and honestly closing financial paperwork
  • completes closing side work as described for the specific section
  • performs running side work during service for your specific section
  • submits complete and accurate paperwork and cash to the manager
