Job Requirements

  • Ability to read, understand, analyze, and interpret general training manuals, professional journals, or technical procedures
  • ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from children, managers, associates, members, and the general public
  • ability to identify problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
  • minimum one year of customer service experience
  • food safety certified
  • professional and friendly manner
  • excellent customer service attitude
  • strong verbal communication and conflict resolution skills

Job Duties

  • Greet customers as they enter and exit the café
  • create and serve food and beverage items
  • promote daily specials and encourage upgrades to each order
  • operate cash register, process payments through cash or credit card handling and/or member account charges
  • perform café opening and/or closing duties as required
  • maintain a clean, safe work environment according to state and local food safety standards
  • understand and anticipate the needs of members and guests
  • be attentive, listen carefully and follow through
  • provide exceptional customer service
