Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be an American citizen or Green Card holder
  • Must be willing and able to work a minimum of 12 hours per day, 7 days a week, up to 28 weeks
  • Must pass federal pre-employment drug test including marijuana and controlled substances
  • Must adhere to company grooming standards including limitations on visible tattoos and piercings
  • Must abstain from alcohol consumption while on duty
  • Must be able to meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, and prolonged standing or walking
  • Must participate in emergency and safety training essential to ship operation
  • Must be able to work in a temporary shipboard employment position for the full 28-week season
  • Must be able to work well under pressure and maintain a positive attitude
  • Must be willing to comply with company policies and procedures

Job Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be an American citizen or Green Card holder
  • Ability to work at least 12 hours per day, 7 days a week, for up to 28 weeks
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Prior experience in hospitality or customer service preferred but not required
  • Ability to meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, and extended standing or walking
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain composure with a positive attitude

Job Duties

  • Provide guests with an elegant and memorable dining experience
  • Efficiently set-up and break-down breakfast, lunch, dinner, and cocktail hour including setting tables, arranging linen, silverware, china and glassware
  • Cater to all culinary requests in an efficient manner
  • Acknowledge guests by name, escort them to their tables, present food and beverage menus, suggest particular courses and wines, and kindly answer any questions regarding menu items
  • Relay orders efficiently to the galley and serve courses and beverages with care ensuring all items look presentable and properly garnished
  • Perform additional functions such as greeting guests upon embarkation, serving afternoon teas and snacks, and catering evening entertainment
  • Maintain high grooming and appearance standards in accordance with company policy
