Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be an American citizen or Green Card holder
- Must be willing and able to work a minimum of 12 hours per day, 7 days a week, up to 28 weeks
- Must pass federal pre-employment drug test including marijuana and controlled substances
- Must adhere to company grooming standards including limitations on visible tattoos and piercings
- Must abstain from alcohol consumption while on duty
- Must be able to meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, and prolonged standing or walking
- Must participate in emergency and safety training essential to ship operation
- Must be able to work in a temporary shipboard employment position for the full 28-week season
- Must be able to work well under pressure and maintain a positive attitude
- Must be willing to comply with company policies and procedures
Job Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be an American citizen or Green Card holder
- Ability to work at least 12 hours per day, 7 days a week, for up to 28 weeks
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Prior experience in hospitality or customer service preferred but not required
- Ability to meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, and extended standing or walking
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain composure with a positive attitude
Job Duties
- Provide guests with an elegant and memorable dining experience
- Efficiently set-up and break-down breakfast, lunch, dinner, and cocktail hour including setting tables, arranging linen, silverware, china and glassware
- Cater to all culinary requests in an efficient manner
- Acknowledge guests by name, escort them to their tables, present food and beverage menus, suggest particular courses and wines, and kindly answer any questions regarding menu items
- Relay orders efficiently to the galley and serve courses and beverages with care ensuring all items look presentable and properly garnished
- Perform additional functions such as greeting guests upon embarkation, serving afternoon teas and snacks, and catering evening entertainment
- Maintain high grooming and appearance standards in accordance with company policy
