Job Requirements

  • Ability to transport up to 30 lbs through crowded rooms continuously
  • lift maximum 30 pounds
  • constant standing and walking required
  • frequent twisting, bending, stooping, reaching, talking, hearing, seeing and smiling

Job Qualifications

  • Hold a current Food Handler Card or in the process of being certified
  • hold a valid TABC license
  • basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations
  • understanding of service standards and guest relations
  • knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware
  • basic English language proficiency
  • ability to understand and apply product labeling instructions
  • ability to remember and promote menu items
  • ability to operate beverage equipment such as coffee makers

Job Duties

  • Greet the guests in a friendly and courteous manner
  • explain specials and restaurant promotions
  • check station for proper set-up and cleanliness before, during, and after shifts
  • take and record accurate orders from guests
  • input orders into the Point of Sale system
  • retrieve and deliver orders along with condiments
  • comply with liquor regulations
  • replenish beverages and check guest satisfaction
  • market dessert items and specialty coffees
  • assist with clearing and resetting tables
  • perform side work including restocking and replenishing condiments
  • carry out general cleaning tasks
  • present checks promptly
  • follow company policies and safety procedures
  • report unsafe conditions and incidents to management
  • maintain neat and well-groomed appearance
  • assist other restaurant personnel when needed
