Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- must be able to work days, nights and/or weekends as required
- must be able to work in noisy, fast-paced environment with distracting conditions
- must be able to read and write handwritten notes
- must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
- must be able to move about facility and stand for long periods of time
- must be able to walk or stand 100% of shift
- must be able to reach, bend and stoop frequently
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in food service or hospitality preferred
- basic math skills for handling cash transactions
- ability to communicate clearly and effectively with guests and team members
- familiarity with point-of-sale systems advantageous
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- capability to follow company policies and procedures
Job Duties
- Deliver an unparalleled guest experience through the best combination of food, drinks and games in an ideal environment for celebrating all out fun
- keep immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters
- create a warm, fun atmosphere for guests and team members
- adhere to company's sanitation procedures
- maintain responsibility for personal bank and ensure all financial transactions are accurate
- follow alcohol awareness procedures for preventing intoxication and dealing with intoxicated guests
- assess guest demeanor and identify when behavior should be called to the attention of a manager
- greet newly seated guests in a friendly and timely manner
- accurately take guests' food and drink orders
- maintain a thorough understanding of all menu items and answer questions regarding food and drink items and their preparation
- enter orders into Micros quickly and in proper sequence
- ensure food is properly garnished and delivers trays to designated table servers' sections
- work quickly and efficiently adhering to "full hands in, full hands out" philosophy
- assist in party set up and breakdown
- buss and reset tables as needed
- assist other team members as needed
- responsible for all sales on personal Micros keys and completing station side work at the beginning and end of their shift
- participate in all incentives and contests driving sales and promoting the brand
- follow portion guidelines to ensure cost control while maximizing the guest experience
- ensure ongoing guest satisfaction by checking back after delivery of food and responding to guest needs in a timely manner
- keep station clean and set up and take down station tables appropriately
- maintain favorable working relationships with all other team members to foster a cooperative and harmonious working climate
- communicate effectively with guests to generate enthusiasm about the Dave & Buster's experience
- operate Micros, make changes, accurately conduct credit card transactions, and account for all monies at the end of each shift
- read and communicate in English
- listen to hear guests' orders and needs and communicate verbally with guests and other team members via Micros system
- maintain dress code standards looking neat, clean and professional at all times
- must be at least 18 years of age
