Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- one to three months related experience and/or training
- ability to work specified hours including evenings and weekends
- visual acuity adequate to perform position duties
- effective communication skills
- ability to understand and distinguish speech and other sounds
- ability to follow safety protocols
- ability to perform essential job functions satisfactorily
- willingness to work PRN schedule
- commitment to confidentiality
- ability to comply with CMS, Joint Commission, DHHS, and OSHA guidelines

Job Duties
- Cleans and stores dishes according to set departmental standards
- completes cleaning process in an efficient and timely manner
- utilizes chemicals appropriately
- maintains work area by sweeping floor, mopping, sanitizing counters, and taking out garbage
- correctly serves foods and assembles trays for residents adhering to specific diet alterations
- completes assigned daily cleaning schedule within department including individual work area and storage areas
- successfully demonstrates required competencies on unit specific checklist
- follows safe food handling procedures and HACCP guidelines
- abides by schedule and select menus for residents
- follows dish room, pot and pan procedures using chemicals and sanitization methods
