Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of service experience
- able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of our guests
- basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures
- possess basic math skills
- able to handle money and operate a micros system
- able to work in standing position for long periods (up to 5 hours)
- able to safely lift and maneuver trays weighing 20 to 25 pounds

Job Duties
- Welcome and greet guests within 30 seconds
- make all guests feel comfortable and let them know you are there to personally take care of them
- introduce yourself
- inform guests of specials and menu changes
- make recommendations guests will enjoy
- answer questions about food, beverages, and restaurant functions
- take food and beverage orders and enter them accurately into the micros system
- deliver food and beverages promptly
- perform side work at beginning and end of shifts
- anticipate guests' needs such as napkins and drink refills
- build regulars
- maintain clean service areas and pre-bus tables
- monitor and observe guests’ dining experience, ensure satisfaction
- prepare final bill and process payment
- check back frequently after presenting the check
- assist fellow servers and bus persons/hostesses as needed
- thank guests and invite them to return
- be available to fill in as needed for smooth restaurant operations
