Job Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • American citizen or Green Card holder
  • Able to work a minimum of 12 hours per day, 7 days a week, for up to 28 weeks
  • Able to meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, extended periods of standing or walking
  • Pass pre-employment drug test
  • Prohibited from alcohol consumption while working
  • Follow grooming standards including tattoo and piercing limitations
  • This is a temporary 28-week shipboard employment
  • Maintain composure and positive attitude under pressure

Job Duties

  • Provide guests with an elegant and memorable dining experience
  • efficiently set-up and break-down breakfast, lunch, dinner, and cocktail hour including setting tables, arranging linen, silverware, china and glassware
  • cater to all culinary requests in an efficient manner
  • acknowledge guests by name, escort them to tables, present menus, suggest courses and wines, answer questions
  • relay orders to galley and serve courses and beverages ensuring presentation and garnishing
  • perform additional duties such as greeting guests at embarkation, serving afternoon teas and snacks, catering evening entertainment
