Job Requirements

  • Temporary employment position not to extend beyond 28 weeks
  • willing to work onboard ship for full 28 weeks
  • able to work long shifts with minimal breaks
  • willing to comply with grooming and safety standards
  • undergo pre-employment drug testing
  • must be 18 years or older
  • American citizen or Green Card holder
  • willing and able to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, climbing, and standing for long periods
  • no alcohol consumption during work
  • able to perform emergency and safety duties
  • maintain positive attitude under pressure

Job Qualifications

  • Must be at least eighteen years of age
  • American citizen or Green Card holder
  • willing and able to work a minimum of 12 hours per day, 7 days a week, for up to 28 weeks
  • able to meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, standing, or walking for extended periods
  • able to pass pre-employment drug test including marijuana and other controlled substances
  • no consumption of alcohol allowed during employment
  • able to meet grooming standards including limitations on visible tattoos and piercings
  • able to perform emergency and safety functions essential to ship operation
  • work well under pressure
  • maintain composure and a positive attitude

Job Duties

  • Provide guests with an elegant and memorable dining experience
  • efficiently set-up and break-down breakfast, lunch, dinner, and cocktail hour including setting tables, arranging linen, silverware, china and glassware
  • cater to all culinary requests in an efficient manner
  • acknowledge guests by name, escort them to their tables, present food and beverage menus, suggest courses and wines, and answer questions regarding menu items
  • relay orders to the galley and serve various courses and beverages with care, ensuring proper presentation and garnishing
  • perform additional functions such as greeting guests upon embarkation, serving afternoon teas and snacks, and catering evening entertainment
