Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 0-2 years related experience in restaurant or food service
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods without rest
  • Ability to push, lift, carry and transfer up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to reach with hands and use hands to handle objects
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and verbally communicate clearly
  • Ability to have visual acuity including close vision and depth perception
  • Must be able to access all areas of the restaurant including selling floor, stock area, and register area
  • Willingness to follow safety and sanitation procedures
  • Must be dependable and have a team-oriented attitude

Job Qualifications

  • Excellent guest service skills and experience
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues as they arise
  • Detail oriented with the ability to multitask
  • Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize
  • Computer skills with POS system
  • 0-2 years related experience
  • Strong knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in a restaurant
  • Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals

Job Duties

  • Takes guest orders utilizing menu knowledge and situational selling techniques
  • Serves food and beverages to the guests promptly ensuring all items are prepared properly and provided in a timely manner following company standards
  • Communicates professionally with guests to determine their needs and help with menu selections
  • Communicates new promotions and product information to guests
  • Demonstrates knowledge of menu items by describing food items properly and maintaining company standards
  • Inputs orders accurately into the POS system
  • Pre-bus tables and assists with approved side work
  • Practices safe food and beverage handling and cleans up
  • Handles food prep equipment safely such as knives, coffee maker, iced tea machine
  • Effectively handles guest complaints and involves the manager when appropriate
  • Communicates and interacts with guests to put them at ease while waiting
  • Assists in other job categories as needed
  • Performs all other duties as assigned
