Job Requirements
- Comfortable operating in small fixed-wing aircraft or helicopters for extended periods
- Willing and able to travel up to 21 days at a time
- Experience operating sensors or technical equipment in aircraft
- Interest in aviation
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Strong computer proficiency
- Passion for troubleshooting and problem-solving
- Demonstrated ability to learn advanced technology
- Ability to work independently
- FAA Part 107 license preferred
- Basic photography knowledge preferred
Job Qualifications
- Experience operating sensors or technical equipment in a helicopter or small aircraft
- Interest in aviation and pilot training
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Strong computer proficiency including Windows and MS Office
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems in field conditions
- Ability to learn and operate advanced technology
- Experience with LiDAR or similar equipment preferred
- Ability to work independently and adapt to remote environments
- FAA Part 107 license a plus
- Basic photography knowledge a plus
Job Duties
- Operate aerial sensors including LiDAR, HD video cameras, RGB, NIR, and thermal cameras
- Coordinate daily flights with flight crew members
- Troubleshoot sensor issues in real time and perform preventive maintenance
- Conduct field data checks for quality and completeness
- Operate in remote locations across the United States with minimal supervision
- Work under direction of Flight Operations Manager
- Ensure accurate and high-quality geospatial data collection
