Job Requirements

  • Comfortable operating in small fixed-wing aircraft or helicopters for extended periods
  • Willing and able to travel up to 21 days at a time
  • Experience operating sensors or technical equipment in aircraft
  • Interest in aviation
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Strong computer proficiency
  • Passion for troubleshooting and problem-solving
  • Demonstrated ability to learn advanced technology
  • Ability to work independently
  • FAA Part 107 license preferred
  • Basic photography knowledge preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Experience operating sensors or technical equipment in a helicopter or small aircraft
  • Interest in aviation and pilot training
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Strong computer proficiency including Windows and MS Office
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems in field conditions
  • Ability to learn and operate advanced technology
  • Experience with LiDAR or similar equipment preferred
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to remote environments
  • FAA Part 107 license a plus
  • Basic photography knowledge a plus

Job Duties

  • Operate aerial sensors including LiDAR, HD video cameras, RGB, NIR, and thermal cameras
  • Coordinate daily flights with flight crew members
  • Troubleshoot sensor issues in real time and perform preventive maintenance
  • Conduct field data checks for quality and completeness
  • Operate in remote locations across the United States with minimal supervision
  • Work under direction of Flight Operations Manager
  • Ensure accurate and high-quality geospatial data collection
