Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 to 2 years of culinary leadership experience
  • Proven ability to manage kitchen operations and staff
  • Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical stamina to stand and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment

Job Qualifications

  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional culinary experience
  • Minimum 1 to 2 years of culinary leadership experience
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Experience in menu planning and event catering
  • Ability to lead and motivate a diverse culinary team
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Familiarity with budgeting and cost control in a kitchen setting

Job Duties

  • Assist the Executive Chef in direction and oversight of all culinary operations including preparation and production of meals, food quality and presentation, and compliance with safety and sanitation standards
  • Create and implement menu selections for special banquets and events based on food trends and regional tastes
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and company health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness regulations
  • Monitor and develop team member performance through supervision, counseling, evaluations, training, scheduling, and recognition
  • Oversee kitchen staff including cooks and stewards to maintain productivity and quality
  • Manage cost controls and support overall financial profitability
  • Collaborate with Food and Beverage leadership to align culinary offerings with guest expectations
