  • Previous hotel culinary experience
  • Union membership or union experience
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Assist the Executive Chef in the direction and oversight of all culinary operations including preparation and production of all hotel meals
  • Ensure food quality and presentation meet the highest standards
  • Enforce compliance with all safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness standards
  • Manage team member productivity and performance including supervision, counseling, evaluations, training, scheduling, and work assignments
  • Collaborate on menu creation and implementation for special banquet themes and events based on current trends and regional tastes
  • Monitor and implement cost control measures to enhance financial profitability
  • Deliver recognition and rewards to team members to foster motivation and engagement
