Job Requirements

  • Minimum two years of culinary leadership experience
  • Union experience required
  • Prior hotel culinary experience required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Commitment to upholding health and safety regulations
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Culinary leadership experience of at least two years
  • Experience working in hotels and with unionized kitchen staff
  • Strong team leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for hospitality and service excellence
  • Ability to develop and train culinary team members
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Experience in menu planning and cost control

Job Duties

  • Assist the Executive Chef in the direction and oversight of all culinary operations including preparation and production of hotel meals
  • Ensure food quality and presentation meets high standards
  • Enforce compliance with safety and sanitation standards and regulations
  • Monitor and support team member productivity and performance including supervision, counseling, and training
  • Help implement culinary policies and procedures to maintain consistency and quality
  • Develop special banquet menus in collaboration with Executive Chef and Director of Food and Beverage
  • Manage cost controls and contribute to overall financial profitability
