Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent culinary training preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience in culinary leadership
- Prior experience in a unionized hotel environment required
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Strong commitment to hospitality and guest service
- Valid food handler certification
- Ability to lift heavy items and stand for long periods
- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills

Job Duties
- Assist the Executive Chef in the direction and oversight of all culinary operations including meal preparation, food quality, safety and sanitation compliance, team productivity and cost controls
- create and implement menu selections for special banquet themes and events in collaboration with Executive Chef and Food and Beverage Director
- ensure compliance with federal, state, local and company health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards
- assist in monitoring and developing team member performance including supervision, counseling, evaluations, training, scheduling and work assignment
- maintain high standards of food presentation and guest service
- manage inventory and ordering to control food costs
- collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experience
