Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent culinary training preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in culinary leadership
  • Prior experience in a unionized hotel environment required
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Strong commitment to hospitality and guest service
  • Valid food handler certification
  • Ability to lift heavy items and stand for long periods
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of culinary leadership experience

Job Duties

  • Assist the Executive Chef in the direction and oversight of all culinary operations including meal preparation, food quality, safety and sanitation compliance, team productivity and cost controls
  • create and implement menu selections for special banquet themes and events in collaboration with Executive Chef and Food and Beverage Director
  • ensure compliance with federal, state, local and company health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards
  • assist in monitoring and developing team member performance including supervision, counseling, evaluations, training, scheduling and work assignment
  • maintain high standards of food presentation and guest service
  • manage inventory and ordering to control food costs
  • collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experience
