Job Requirements

  • a.o.s. degree in culinary arts or a culinary certificate with required experience
  • progressive culinary or kitchen management experience depending on degree or training
  • catering experience strongly preferred
  • experience in high-volume complex foodservice operations highly desirable
  • institutional and batch cooking experience helpful
  • strong knowledge of food and catering trends with emphasis on quality production sanitation food cost control and presentation
  • proficiency with computers including microsoft office word excel powerpoint outlook email and internet use
  • willingness to participate in guest satisfaction programs and activities
  • servsafe certification highly desirable

Job Duties

  • assist the executive chef with managing cost controls and monitoring account expenditures
  • support menu planning and creation in collaboration with the executive chef
  • produce and execute internal and external catering events
  • implement new culinary programs in partnership with company marketing and the culinary team
