Job Requirements
- Education in culinary arts or related field
- Experience in culinary or kitchen management
- Knowledge of foodservice operations and catering
- Ability to manage cost controls and menu development
- Supervisory experience with hourly associates
- Computer proficiency
- Certification in ServSafe preferred
- Ability to participate in guest satisfaction initiatives
Job Qualifications
- A.O.S. degree in Culinary Arts or a culinary certificate with required experience
- Progressive culinary or kitchen management experience depending on degree or training
- Catering experience strongly preferred
- Experience in high-volume, complex foodservice operations highly desirable
- Institutional and batch cooking experience helpful
- Strong knowledge of food and catering trends with emphasis on quality, production, sanitation, food cost control, and presentation
- Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, email, and internet use
- Willingness to participate in guest satisfaction programs and activities
- ServSafe certification highly desirable
Job Duties
- Assist the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and monitoring account expenditures
- Support menu planning and creation in collaboration with the Executive Chef
- Produce and execute internal and external catering events
- Implement new culinary programs in partnership with company marketing and the culinary team
