Job Requirements

  • Education in culinary arts or related field
  • Experience in culinary or kitchen management
  • Knowledge of foodservice operations and catering
  • Ability to manage cost controls and menu development
  • Supervisory experience with hourly associates
  • Computer proficiency
  • Certification in ServSafe preferred
  • Ability to participate in guest satisfaction initiatives

Job Qualifications

  • A.O.S. degree in Culinary Arts or a culinary certificate with required experience
  • Progressive culinary or kitchen management experience depending on degree or training
  • Catering experience strongly preferred
  • Experience in high-volume, complex foodservice operations highly desirable
  • Institutional and batch cooking experience helpful
  • Strong knowledge of food and catering trends with emphasis on quality, production, sanitation, food cost control, and presentation
  • Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, email, and internet use
  • Willingness to participate in guest satisfaction programs and activities
  • ServSafe certification highly desirable

Job Duties

  • Assist the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and monitoring account expenditures
  • Support menu planning and creation in collaboration with the Executive Chef
  • Produce and execute internal and external catering events
  • Implement new culinary programs in partnership with company marketing and the culinary team
