Job Requirements
- Valid King County Food Handler Permit
- Valid ServSafe Manager Certificate
- Completion of Learn, Legal, and Privacy courses required by company
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccinations, boosters, and/or regular COVID-19 testing as required
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (10-40 lbs)
- Ability to stand for a minimum of 8 hours per day
- Capable of working 10+ hour shifts and extended periods of standing, sitting, or walking
- Possess hearing, visual, and sensory abilities to safely operate kitchen equipment
- Able to work in fast-paced, high noise level kitchen environment with exposure to cleaning solutions and varying temperatures
Job Qualifications
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience demonstrating advanced technical skill and leadership ability
- Minimum of seven years progressive kitchen leadership experience in a high-volume environment
- Deep understanding of kitchen operations from prep to service
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Experience with menu development, large-batch cooking, and team training
- Proven leadership experience in high-volume production or catering environments
- Ability to lead with confidence, empathy, and clear communication
- Track record of success in culinary operations management
Job Duties
- Oversee all day-to-day kitchen operations
- Ensure consistent execution, flavor, and presentation across all menus
- Support collaboration between BOH and FOH to ensure a seamless guest experience
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized kitchen operations in compliance with health and safety standards
- Monitor equipment maintenance and train team members on safe and proper use
- Partner with Sous Chefs and Junior Sous Chefs to ensure smooth execution and top-tier quality
- Monitor kitchen budgets and food costs while maintaining high standards
- Conduct internal audits and ensure compliance with all food safety programs
- Manage production schedules, recipe execution, and menu implementation
- Contribute to long-term planning and succession development within the team
